Do you like movies? Why or why not?
Yes, because I enjoy taking a break from the stresses of life and just relaxing with a good movie story.
Where do you usually watch movies?
Home.
What do you look for in a movie? Is there a specific genre?
Either funny or action packed. I really enjoy Marvel and DC superhero movies.
Is there an outside source (book, actor, recommendation) that usually informs your viewing? Do you have any actors that you tend to watch movies for?
I watch coming attractions for movies on YouTube.
I like Jason Statham and Keanu Reeves.
I like Jason Statham and Keanu Reeves.
Do you have a favorite movie? If you can remember, what was it like watching it for the first time?
I have two favorites: Blazing Saddles and Point Break. First time seeing Blazing Saddles, I couldnt stop laughing. I laughed so hard that my stomach and face hurt! First time seeing Point Break, I wanted to learn to surf.
If you can remember, what’s the first movie you remember seeing?
I cannot remember.
Do you have a specific memory you have with a specific movie (not necessarily your favorite)?
Watching Blazing Saddles with my college friends over and over and saying every line in the movie while drinking a beer ball with my friends. It is a huge ball of beer, which we purchased from Mobile Mart near Fordham, was so much fun.
What do you think is the best process in selecting a film to watch?
I used to just goto see anything, now I like to check ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.
Do you think your relationship with movies has changed since you started watching?
Yes, I have different taste.
Movie Memories:
One time, I went to my friend from college's home for dinner and to see my college roommates. So, we have dinner, then they decided to put on Titanic, and I was not into that movie at all. All my friends were married and had their wives there, and I was in Dental School and still single. It was the most miserable time I have ever had, I wound up making up some excuse to get the heck out of there. True story!!
Final Thoughts: I really enjoy movies about topics I like, but if it's something cheesey or mushy romantic, it's like torture watching.
